The Dutra Group’s newest asset, the dredge CB Harry S, along with the DB Paula Lee, are widening and deepening Mobile Ship Channel in Mobile, AL.
This multi-phase dredging project is being conducted to bring larger, deeper draft ships into the Port of Mobile.
Phase 4 of the Mobile Ship Channel Deepening and Widening project is bringing the channel to a depth of 54’ over an 8.5 mile stretch of the Mobile Bay.
This includes dredging approximately 5,800,000 CY of material from the Lower Bay Channel and portion of the Upper Bay Channel with the disposal at the offshore disposal site.
Construction for the entire project, which is split into six construction phases, has a target completion date of March 2025.
